We have launched a new website for municipal properties, SurplusProperty.ca
The properties on SurplusProperty.ca are owned by municipalities in Ontario. They are being offered for sale for any one of a number of possible reasons, such as:
- They were advertised for tax sale, but no one bought them
- They were needed in the past, but the municipality's needs changed, and they're not needed now
- They've been in inventory for many years, and now the municipality wants to sell them
The properties shown on SurplusProperty.ca provide excellent investment opportunities because for most of them there is:
- No realtor involved
- No real estate commission built into the sale price
- No listing on MLS, so fewer people know about these properties
Right now there are three properties in Temagami listed on SurplusProperty.ca. The assessed values range from $13,625 to $14,350. Each one is for sale for $8,000.

Ok I for one have had enough of the spam, every message signed with your website address, now ads for new site , etc etc.
I have friends who run businesses, can I put up ads for them up here too??

Not only that, but more competition for anyone who buys land this way.
Karma to Pfm for always calling it as he sees it.

and on his first listing, not once does he mention the words "trailer park" - which just happens to be big and bold on the muni website !

Anyone in need of geotech drilling investigations? For ground conditions, contamination/decontamination work. Geo-Thermal heating holes drilled (and pipes installed), or mining work to bring up core samples (no site too remote), dewatering etc... We do this work anywhere in Canada....and have already been from Yellowknife to Labrador, Erie shores in the south, to Baffin Island in the north.
Seriously, send me a message if you ever need this type of work performed, and I'll line you up. 8)
p.s. for anyone that would have been at all interested in the Temagami properties, we all knew that these were trailer park sites in the first place. If you are seriously interested in property in Temagami, send me a message and I'll link you up...we've got two properties on beautiful Rabbit Lake. One has a cabin, and one is virgin, both are boat access, there's not much in Temagami that is not, except for the Trailer park.

Geez, Frank, I thought you were retired; I'd never think you were bore-ing ;>)) Are tax sales too few & far between? Or did you hit a big one (like Dave2) with unexpected delights hidden behind the trees? Please tell us; it's been so quiet I thought even PFM had sailed to the south seas.

Nothing bore-ing about it, lol. Retirement doesn't have to mean nothingness.
