It's been so long since I posted, I forgot my password, and, for a moment, thought I'd been dropped as a member, but am happy I can still get on. The board is very quiet, and, if not for Dave2, would come very close to a complete halt. Thank you, Dave2, and the others that have been posting over the past year.
I'm posting in the off topic section because I am on the hunt for a classic Chevrolet Corvair: air-cooled engine in the rear, 1966 coupe with 4-speed. Do not care about mechanical shape, but I am simply unable to do bodywork, so would really like to get a fairly good body.
I hope to get back into tax sales one day, once I get my life in order.

Classic car, not many built. I think you can pick one up in the states for about $15k U.S., keep your ears open and you might find one rusting away behind someone's barn. 8)

Suggest you contact the local CAW in Oshawa and see if anyone knows where one can be found. A lot of those guys work on classic cars
and you might get lucky. That's the only idea I can contribute maybe because Canada has not caught up to progressive regions in Europe
that help you better reflect.

Corvairs have become very sought after in the experimental aircraft community, where rebuilt and repurposed engines are a viable alternative to typical Lycoming and continental engines.
http://www.flycorvair.com/ has a wealth of information on rebuilding corvair engines if you are looking to rebuild your own motor.

Keep an eye on the Toronto Car auction April 29th to May 1
There is some silly prices and stupid reserves on some and some real deals also. You can get frame up restorations for less then the value of parts sometimes. Of course there is a few exotic dealers trying to flog cars with reserves higher then retail and then you have the buyer premium.

Again, it's been so long that I had to get a new password. Thanks to all for the helpful Corvair tips: am still looking for an affordable project; I remembered, and contacted, a very good bodyman/mechanic, so I will look after the mechanical end after the bodywork is completed. I am after something that needs (a lot of) work, and have enlarged my searching to include a classic Austin/Morris mini Cooper S. In the Corvair range, have decided on a 1966 Corsa 4-speed turbo coupe, but, since budget is important, a bargain car might change my mind.
PG, a special thank you for the www.flycorvair.com URL; William Wynne is an amazing guy, and it is a wonderful site, especially if one is interested in aircraft. I'm on the daily email list, and go back to his site often for information and to read more of his philosophy.
NB:
I highly recommend that any reader take a moment, visit his site, and you will find a nice guy who tells it like it is, no holds barred. He is, simply, a treasure, and makes fascinating reading, even if you are not an aircraft fan.
PFM, thank you, also, for the link, am just reading it this morning: it is hard to load the next page, and very slow, but I am sure it will be helpful.
As a last note, I am in the market for a small, southern Ontario trailer park/trailer court/campground, or a property that can be used as such. I am open to both seasonal or year-round, and by small I mean 2 or more untis.
