Title: Seguin Township Subdivision - Everybody Knows...
Post by: patf on February 10, 2017, 06:58:47 PM
Hi all,
I'm a newbie in the forums. I've been a voyeur for about a year but thought I'd take a serious look at Seguin Township's two lots. I have family nearby and I'm originally from the 705. So, Mrs. Foot managed to sub-divide and sell off her Seguin property as a proposed new sub-division. Unfortunately, she passed away, and the sub-division agreement was never completed. The 20+land owners or a developer would need to enter into a subdivision agreement which basically means paying for the road and infrastructure (how much does a road cost? $150K/100m?) Part of the road is on a flood plain so extra planning is needed. There is no municipal septic, hydro and water - so you'd be on your own for that. I asked about camping out on the property, maybe build a small shed for a canoe. This would change the usage to recreational so not permitted. Building a small shed under the building permit size also changes the current usage.
So, as the great Leonard Cohen told ya, in Seguin everybody knows about the ghost 'subdivision'. Everybody knows, that's how it goes...
