What I like about this is a relatively low minimum bid (less then land value??) compared to Springwater  which is $100,000 higher and hot real estate area.   $100,000 can cover a lot of building sins.

Devil is always in the details, specifically how much it will cost to fix up the house.

Of course add to the fact of making a side trip to the ski chalet that resulted in me getting married 40 years ago coupled with some reasonable driving weather and maybe I might sneak up for a peak.

Driven through some of those Blue Mountain blizzards in the past and had to haul my car out as well out of the ditch.

Wonder what the rental ski chalet market is like. It was a lot tougher in pre internet days.

Dave

I love all the nostalgia, and what woulda-shoulda-coulda been.  I know you love ski chalets and hot tubs....there is literally a hot tub floating in the basement on this one.   Water in basement has been there for a long time, and those silent floor joists don't like moisture, they just crumble.

You are always talking about sticking to your own turf, and you are now proposing to invade my area of specialty.   Two can play that game.

You and the Hill-Billy are welcome to visit; but just have a beer, tumble down the hill, and go home.

p.s. lot is small, and you have to consider the cost of demolition and removal first.  Not left with much in hand.  Don't forget you have to win the bid first.  Anyone who pays a nickel over minimum will lose money.

That is what I was mentioning about the windows being covered up in the green tarp on the earlier posts.  Place would definitely make a good HG TV special.

Thanks, I forgot to mention there is about $200 worth of green tarps covering the single pane, rotting sill, windows (salvage value about $10).  They could come in handy to wrap up and dispose of any cadavers.
