Had a bit of a scare recently when a piece of land on which I bought at a tax sale
the local conservation authority thought they had discovered an endangered species of plant life.  Fortunately for me while rare it is not considered endangered.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Our favourite Conservation Authority stikes again I presume?

At least I hope that they sent out you know who instead of what's his name.

If they sent out you know who from the right conservation authority; Dave2 would become extinct courtesy of my wife.  Sorry for rest of board; cannot explain further except by PM, my existance would be at stake; but what a way to go.

Only clue I can give is to use a legal analogy about "unencumbered assets"  Trust me tax sale work is not always dull especially when you least expect it. But that's life; that's why this subject is in "member experiences Shocked

Dave2,

I had a request this week to build Turtle Crossings under a major road since our shelled friends were getting flattened by semi-trucks. When we pointed out that the amphibians were not so much crossing the road as they were sunning on it, we were asked if we could pave the road in lighter colours so it wouldn't heat up so much, or build on a wall that turtles couldn't climb.

Sometimes the Cons Authority is more out of touch than the planners. Really.
