TAKE NOTICE that tenders are invited for the purchase of the land(s)
described below and will be received until 3:00 p.m. local time on
Friday, September 15th, 2006 at the Tyendinaga Township Municipal
Office, 859 Melrose Road, RR #1, Shannonville, ON K0K 3A0.
The tenders will then be opened in public on the same day at 3:30 p.m. at the
Tyendinaga Township Municipal Office, 859 Melrose Rd, Shannonville.
Description of Land(s):
Part Lot 25, Concession 1, South of the Road, Township of Tyendinaga,
County of Hastings, and more particularly described as follows:
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises
situate, lying and being in the Township of Tyendinaga, in the County of
Hastings and Province of Ontario and being Part of Lot Number 25,
Concession One, South of the Road in the said Township and more
particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the point of intersection of a wire fence with the
south limit of the King’s Highway No. 2 according to a plan filed in the
Registry Office for the County of Hastings as Highway’s Deposited Plan
No. 1616, which said point of intersection is 71.23 feet easterly along the
south limit of Highway from the intersection of the West limit of said
Lot 25;
THENCE South 14 degrees, 21 feet East along the line of said wire
fence a distance of 116 feet more or less to its intersection with the line
of a wire fence running in an easterly direction;
THENCE Easterly and parallel to the south limit of Highway along the
line of said wire fence 164 feet more or less to its intersection with a
wire fence running in a northerly direction;
THENCE Northerly along the line of said last mentioned wire fence 116
feet more or less to the south limit of Highway;
THENCE Westerly along the said south limit of Highway, 165 feet more
or less to the point of commencement.

Minimum Tender Amount: $12,481.79
Tenders must be submitted in the prescribed form and must be accompanied
by a deposit in the form of a money order or of a bank draft or cheque
certified by a bank or trust corporation payable to the municipality (or board)
and representing at least 20 per cent of the tender amount.
Except as follows, the municipality makes no representation regarding the
title to or any other matters relating to the land to be sold. Responsibility
for ascertaining these matters rests with the potential purchasers.
This sale is governed by the Municipal Act, 2001 and the Municipal Tax
Sales Rules made under that Act. The successful purchaser will be
required to pay the amount tendered plus accumulated taxes and the
relevant land transfer tax and G.S.T., if applicable.
The municipality has no obligation to provide vacant possession to the
successful purchaser.
