Qr Numbers
Chapter: TERMS
Pete
I am wondering if someone could enlighten me on what the 'QR' number is for?
I think these are correct and if not could someone clarify?
PIN is the Parcel number (perhaps someone could enlighten me on the 'LT' in brackets?)
Roll is the tax number

Anytime a legal description states "as in XXXXX" the reference is to an instrument which is a document that has been registered on title. You can go to the Registry Office and have a look at the instrument to see what it says. The actual instrument may be in paper version or may be on microfilm. All instruments are stored alpha-numerically in filing cabinets. Often this is where the full legal description is found, but there could be other things set out in an instrument.
PIN is actually the Property Identifier Number which identifies the property for electronic registration.
LT stands for Land Titles which is one system of land registration in Ontario with the other being the Land Registry system. All properties are being converted into the Land Titles system in which it is relatively easy to search properties. The Land Titles system tells you who the owner is etc. The Registry system is simply a depository for instruments which you have to review and it is up to you to interpret the effect of registered documents and draw your own conclussion about issues such as ownership etc.

what does S/T Execution XX-XXXXX, if enforceable, mean?

It means that at one point the property was in the Registry system and that an execution affected the property. So, even though the property is now in Land Titles, it may still be subject to the execution. You have to check to see if the execution is still valid as it may have been withdrawn or expired, and you also have to determine for tax sale purposes if the execution is in favour of the Crown.
