Title: Cancellation
Post by: Gmangg on June 14, 2006, 06:19:02 AM
Received a phone call from the city today telling me that the one property that I was interested was cancelled. Two days before the deadline. It was just too bad as I had already done the title and execution searches and I was just preparing to transfer money for my tendered bid. I must say I am a little disappointed as I wanted to at least get to the bidding process of a tax sale. These past three weeks preparing for this tax sale I have learnt so much and I would also like thank this website for the valuable information shared by the members here.

I will definitely be keeping my eyes open for other possible tax sales in the area.

That is tough, after 3 weeks of searching and putting in the costs of the title search, visiting the property and talking to the city.  I think you have a better understanding of the entire process even though you didn't make it to the final sale.  Keeping looking, bidding and it will only give a better chance at success.

George

This happens all the time, I'd say about 70% of the ones that I have put bids on have ended the same way - many times after I've already submitted the bid.  It is frustrating, but if you keep at it you might land one.

Thanks Guys,

I was even joking with my wife that I had come so far that I should have bid on another property. I have learnt alot about tax sales from searches to evictions. I will be ready for the next one for sure.
