Title: Tax sale property(to be re-sold)
Post by: BandD on September 01, 2007, 02:33:44 AM
221.9 acres - $36,000.00
2,640 feet of paved road frontage(Hwy.572-Matheson,Ontario)
The Pike river joins the property via a creek running through it.
Does anyone know this area of Northern Ontario ?
If so,do you think the property is worth the price?
(One setback is,the minerals are reserved.)
I am thinking seriously of buyng this property.
What is your opinion?

Your post isn't quite clear to me. Is this a property that someone bought in a tax sale?

Asking if x amount of acres is worth x amount dollars is a question that can't be answered with the info provided.

You say there is a creek running through it. That is often more of a liability than an asset. The last time someone was trying to sell me a property with a creek running through it ended up having about 95% creek and wetlands and 5% dry land.

It may seem like a cheap price, but check out other land in the area. I know not long ago you could easily find 100 acres close to Timmins for $20000.
