Title: Grimsby

Just so nobody wastes their time:

The house in Grimsby has been sold, and the deal is set to close the day before the tax sale.

In the words of Bob Marley.....Redemption    8)

For the people who will be crying in their beer recently there was the two hundredth anniversary of a little known fact of British History.  The great London (England) beer flood of 1814.

7 people drowned.

Now for a skill testing question.  What is wrong with the photo?

Worth one beer at Ernest Bidders favourite pub.

If you can't trust Wikipedia, what can you trust?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_photography

Suggests that perhaps the existence of such a photo and the date don't quite align.  Though perhaps it just took them a long time to clean up....

Truly a tragedy.  The loss of life and beer, that is, not the illegitimate photo.

NDR:

you are correct.  Photography had not been invented then.  Believe it is of a molasses spill in Boston a century later in 1919.

PM me to make arrangements to collect.  Of course it could be that I just don't have my ancestors capacity for beer.    ;)  That tank stored a lot of pints.

I think I will go enjoy my pint.  Just got my confirmation my deed was registered and in spite of G2020 and Frank's concerns not every tax sale property gets redeemed.  Even post tax sale  ;D

Now the bonus question.  How many pints did the beer tank in London store.

Doing the math...1gallon equals 8 pints.....300,000 gallons equals one hell of a party for Dave and 2,399,999 of his friends.  8)

right with the quantity but I think my friends can handle more then one.  From Wikpedia:

Redemption:

an act of redeeming or atoning for a fault or mistake, or the state of being redeemed.
2. deliverance; rescue.
3.Theology. deliverance from sin; salvation.
4. atonement for guilt.

Based on a small sample survey I am 100% positive that none of the readers of this website favour
redemption.
