Title: Anyone want to trade properties?
Post by: speedfreeksteve on April 15, 2008, 07:58:18 AM
What I have..

-one across the street from waterfront (Horseshoe Lake).. over 2 acres near Parry Sound

-one florida property 125x80. In a thriving southwest florida town. 10 mins drive to the beach. 5 mins to the gulf shore. 5 mins from a large mall.

What I'm looking to trade either or both for;

-waterfront or close to waterfront anything.. florida or ontario.. but not a remote area

-land near Huntsville or Newmarket/Georgina

Steve:

Your locations are not of interest to me personally because of locations but I do have a friend who has a waterfront lot  that is for sale privately buildable on on the Trent System between Hastings and Campbellford if you might be interested.  (I suggest we go offline privately to trade specifics if you would be possibly interested.  I can then forward to him.)

My interest is north east and east of Toronto, because I live east of T.O.

Us country dwellers cannot afford those high prices that the high rollers on this board can afford like Muskoka.

Personally I have a similar situation to your one on Horseshoe on Rice Lake.  May make sense to try to sell and then use gain to get closer to or on the waterfront.  (may take 2 or 3 sales)

Regards
Dave2

I'm not looking for waterfront for personal use. I already have an acre of waterfront just on the edge of Muskoka.

Not really that interested in the area of your friends property though.. but thanks for the info.. maybe someone will be interested.

What high rollers on the board? Half of the posts are: "Should I buy this contaminated property for cheap".. or "Why is east hamilton property so expensive". No high rollers on this board that I've seen personally. ;) I sometime wish we did have high rollers here just for a different perspective.

Northeast of Toronto has plenty of good deals outside of tax sales so you're lucky that it's where you are looking! I know two people that own large acreages in Kaladar that cost less than my hot tub did.

this isn't exactly a  "high roller" game.   ;D I haven't heard any "tax sale millionaires"

Missing High Rollers:

The reason we don't see them is on this board we only track one side of the transaction; the "buy side"
If they don't buy it cheap they cannot get to be a high roller. It's when they sell it that they become a high roller.

Then they decide to hide behind "Dark Glasses".  (No one has taken a pot shot at Frank in about 24 hours so I want to ensure he doesn't feel unwanted.)

On a more serious note could you send me a direct email with a Fax number and other contact info.  I will fax you a  copy of details about the Trent river sale I mentioned.  Also if Steve wants some cheap land for his hot tub up in Kaladar I have a couple of contacts in that region.  Warning though to everyone thinking of buying in that area.  There is a serious contaminated former minesite you should avoid.
