Title: Toronto Sheriff Sale Results - Sept 14 2010
Post by: stillsleepy on September 14, 2010, 02:20:34 AM
Looks like all but one were cancelled.

378 Highfield Rd was the only one to go to auction. The start of bidding had to be lowered from 150K to 125K to 100K before anyone of the 5 registered bidders actually came forward, but after that it went all the way up to 270K which is what it finally sold for.

Moving from 100K to 200K was reasonably fast, but from 200-270 was painfully slow (increments of 1000 or 2000 only) and only between two bidders as far as I could tell.

Any comments on this property? I went only to observe, but speaking with some others there (who were also just observing) it seems like the title search was missing some possibly very important information, and the eventual sell price was only a little less than assessed value.
