Doug:

Some additional details on town website:

Note the one with potential (seasonal residential) is redeemed.  PIN 28249-0187 (LT)
Roll No. 15-31-010-005-34700 These guys have not learned the trick yet of saving to last minute to increase local tourist industry.   ;D

Nothing that looks really interesting.  If all goes well I have to file some papers in neighbouring township tomorrow so may use as excuse to get a couple more details.  Been a while since I had a beer in the local train station restaurant.

Hate to drag all the board members out all the way from Toronto for the scraps that appear to be left.

IMHO the only property that might be worth anything is the 0.37 Acre piece.
At least without doing any research, it looks like it might be a building lot.

:'( Not so fast quick draw  Bruce289,you 'R' looking at the WRONG property(one with the building outline) on the township map.Property for tax sale is the one that overlaps the road allowance and property outline is cut off at the bottom,
Just shows how lazy cival servants are.At least they could have marked the properties for sale.
 :-* Cheers

A nice cold day for a winter drive.  Bottom line conclusion is there will be better opportunities.

Talked to planning.  Two small properties both on highway 7 are so small that she could not even figure why they were created in the first place.

Other property of .37 of an acre is also too small.  Half the minimum size of a building lot allowed today and coupled with setback requirements and septic and well just to small.

My rule of thumb for a rural lot that you might be able to do something with is minimum an acre, which is 3 times the size of this property.  Apparently vacant land buried under snow about 20 miles from township office which I figured was not worth the drive.

For life of me don't understand why someone only had created something so small in middle of no where.  Even typical White Rock chequerboard lots are usually 4 - 5 times this size.
Go Figure.

About the only thing positive I could think of was at least I don't think you will have a lot of competition.  But who knows.

On to the next one.
