Title: How many properties make to bid or auction?
Post by: avoidconfusion on September 15, 2006, 03:34:58 AM
I just was informed by a town treasurer that the properties that were going to auction have already been picked up by the mortgage company :(. How often does that happen and how many of the listed properties actually get to bid or auction. You often see listings in an area that have 6 or more properties do only one or two make it?

Any chance you can let us know which town and which properties you are talking about, could save all of us a few sheckles.  We have been trying to share as much info. as possible on this site and it would probably help about four hundred of us if we knew that kind of information before we set out to look at the properties - what would be the point.

thanks in advance for your assistance.  8)

They were Alberta properties in Okotoks. They coming up for Auction October 13. I was all excited thinking I might be able to find a house for decent price in this crazy market out here. Anyway the representative from Okotoks told me that the last property on the list is gone now the mortgage companies picked up all three properties. I guess that is one way the banks are making money. :(
