Title: Town of Cobourg

52 properties, wow - sounds too good to be true.  Well it is.

The first one on the list is about 25 acres locked between two sets of railroad tracks.

The rest are all part of the same illegal subdivision.  You can't get a building permit for any one of them, and forget about putting up an 8x12.  These properties are what is known as a checkerboard subdivision - registered as parts on an R plan prior to subdivision control.  The entire subdivision has been placed in a holding category - I've seen this a few times before, and suspected as much as soon as I saw the sequential numbering of the properties - Hamilton has one that you will see advertised in the near future.  There are no roads, there are no services, the lands are outside the urban boundaries, and if you happen to buy two that are side by side - they become one.   Good hunting to all, but you won't see me at this sale.
