Title: mining claims

I have been looking at buying one of these tax sales for a while.  Noticed that there are a bunch of mining claims for sale up north.  What is the scoop on these.  Any suggestions re: title, building a cottage, etc?

Hello I am thinking that you are refering to the Larder Lake listings.http://www.larderlake.net/. If you go there they are all listed with the maps, zoning ( kind of confusing, recreational properties not cool trapping or hunting camps ok... interesting distinction) etc. You can also go to www.mndm.gov.on.ca and check the ¨claimaps¨ where you can see some fairly detailed maps of the property in this case mining claim and it will also tell you when the claim was staked and by who.
