Hi, I am also new. About 4 months ago I subscribed to OntarioTaxSales.ca on the Internet. They send out weekly updates on properties that are for sale, sometimes do title searches, provide packages with assessed value, etc. It was a free service then. However, they are now asking for a $20 registration fee and $5/month to stay a member. My question is: Is anyone familiar with this company, does anyone use this company, and it is worth the cost? Can I get the same information from other sources? The only place I've gotten info about upcoming sales so far, is from them......
Thanks a lot,

Hey there, ;)
I was wondering if anyone else got that message from Ontario Tax Sales. I know i got the same message. Do we think it's worth it? I realize its not alot but still, its that point of it. So far I haven't found any other place to get that info either.

Hi,
This site is free and provides weekly updates on tax sales, so does the Ontario Gazette. Theres another fee for title searches with OntarioTaxSales.ca and isn't included, you could get that information by going to the city, e-mail them and they'll tell you what dept. to go to. Assessed values can be accessed through MPAC (www.mpac.ca, click on 'about my property' call them to get a password and use your roll number from the property you own as the login I.D).

I'm familiar with the site. They do have a fairly cheap 5/6 dollar title search for properties that are part of municipalities that have joined their association. It seems like the association helps market tax sale properties from cities they may not get as many bids as they should. It might be worth it for some users, especially property searchers in Northern Ontario / Eastern Ontario.
