Title: How to deal with existing Crown liens
Post by: jwjonker on October 17, 2007, 08:00:44 PM
 ???

So....you've won the property, which you purchased on a whim. :o

Then you discover there is an existing Crown Lien against the property...

What do you do?

Can you resell ? obviously the lien is going to impact you

Anyone out there with a "story" to tell?

Are you making this up, or did you really buy this Crown liened property.  The nearest story I have is when I saw a guy walk from his deposit after he found out - ie. he didn't close the deal, and the Municipality kept the deposit.  Why on earth wouldn't you have done a search before bidding on the property?????? ???
