Title: Title searches for Gravenhurst, Muskoka & Haliburton
Post by: Newkid on October 18, 2007, 07:12:39 PM
Hi!

Has anyone one done title searches for the properties listed in Gravenhurst, Haliburton & Muskoka?  I would appreciate any info on these properties.  Are there any liens, etc?  Any information would be appreciated.  Title search cost add up.

Is there anyone who would be kind enough to share their research.

Thanks

Hi all,

i went to see the two properties the one with 88acres & 95 acres in Gravenhurst.  Most is Conservation, swamp.  The 95 acres looks mostly like rock though there is also swamp.  I could not pin point the 88 acre lot.  Mostly swamp.  I saw a lot of people come by.

The lots of people go by are mostly cottagers - going up for the weekend to close up for winter.  Also, it is hunting season there - be careful

I would go over to ontariotaxsales.ca and for $10 you get a lot of info, enough to decide whether to get the title search done. It is a bargain.

I have been to the 2 gravenhurst properties discussed. I have the GPS coordinates and walked the property. It is indeed conservation land with NO buildable areas on it. No wonder the guy won't pay the $5K taxes on it (either that or he is dead, it was last sold in 1910).
