Does anyone have any info about that 80AC land colse to long lake? I drove by but couldn't get close because of heavy snow. That seems a nice area. Noone's interested to talk about it?

I'm sure that it is a lovely property. However check out the zoning info. on the township's web-site:
No road access: zoned Environmental Protection: No dwelling or structure permitted - it is referred to as 'Greenland' in both the Township and County Official Plans.
And you can get all of this for under $6grand. Go for it. 8)

Well, large enough to do cross-country, quiet enough to put a tent for a summer weekend ... ;)
All that I am wodering now whether there's at lease a trail to get there. There seems a trail but I am not sure if it goes all the way to the property since it's all covered by snow now.

Looks like there is probably an un-opened road allowance there. The web-site says there is no open public road, that is not to say there is not a private road, or even a trail that this property has acquired a right of access across.
Cross country skiing in the winter, hiking/hunting in the summer -- sounds good. When I requested info. from a municipality on a similar property not too long ago, I was advised that I couldn't even erect a tent as it was considered a structure. ie. the building code does not require a permit for a shed of less than 100 square feet, but that doesn't mean it isn't a structure within the meaning of the municipal zoning. Be very careful, there may also be rules on this property with respect to how many logs you can take off of it to fuel your wood stove back home. Remember, somebody has walked away from the property refusing to pay the back taxes.....having owned the property outright they obviously know more about it than you do. That's not to say that they haven't just disappeared, or the family has forgotten about it. It may well be worth more than the taxes....'like a box of chocolates' in the words of Forest Gump.
