a recent court case result on another blog illustrates the importance of access and why going to court may not always be the right solution because of the high costs awarded to the loser.

Very interesting read. They probably could have saved alot of $$ and hassle if they just did the research first, but who knows.. maybe they did and they went for it anyways. Wouldn't be the first person I've seen to ignore warning signs once they have their mind made up that they like a property.

Lovely...the lawyers milked at least 250 out of one party and unknown ( probably more) out of millstone.. ( with costs award ,the 191 would probably be at least 250 in bills )

Small claims court may work in certain cases. But my late daddy probably said it best when he said "wars are easier to start then to stop" especially when you are dealing with parties who make their money from conflict.
Being right doesn't always work when it costs to much to get satisfaction.
especially in tax sales.
