Anyone heard what happened in T.O. today. Mostly junk, and a few condo parking spots. I called this morning to find out if it was still on, and had a friend who was interested in one, however when I called the taped message on the other end simply said that the office was closed and hung up. I know they are on strike, but surely we would have heard something if it was being postponed.

The city of Toronto has decided to disappear. See following article

It would be a dream come true if it did disappear! Ha Ha
FYI If any are interested there is a public auction of surplus properties in Niagara Falls. Here is the link:

There is some good properties but I have never been to one before so I don't know what the prices are like.

Prices will be like all auctions.. If there is a few morons ..prices will be stupid..If the people are pros..prices will be good
Its the "nature of the beast" that people go higher then they planned at auctions..just be careful and dont let the ego take over
They may be nice properties but it is Niagara falls so keep that in mind when bidding.. don't pay toronto prices
My favorite is Number 5 .. Neighbour put in a driveway and build a garage at the back of his land betting the city will never sell the land.. He will be pissed when this sells and he cant get to his garage
He will of course stamp his feet and try to claim adverse possession (he cannot) but bet on a neighbour from hell who opposes all your building permit applications if you bid on that piece..
The piece on the serbian church is using will be a pain too..If you outbid them they might send Arkan out to have a word with you
