Title: Is this website in the doldrums??
Post by: ErnestBidder on May 18, 2018, 12:09:54 AM
Logging on, this morning, I thought this website was in the doldrums, but then I see, at the bottom of the main page, a high of 251 viewers, all at the same time, today! That's a lot of people. If we were all in the same coffee shop, at the same time, you wouldn't be able to hear yourself think. And yet no new postings, day after day.  One can post almost anything on this site, as there are a number of areas where you can look at other provinces, US tax sales, leave us a note about your cat, or your weasel (of a neighbour), or your toenail. There will be someone out there who will be interested. Tell us about your sad or happy experience in buying or selling property. Tell us how you became independently wealthy almost over night, Dave2. Tell us how you lost your shirt, and are too cold to post until at least 3 pm, Frank.

Incidently, Frank, you mentioned, in a post about 6 or 8 years ago, that you had not had personal contact with any board members at that time. Unbeknownst to you, I saw you just minutes before a tax sale bids opening in, I think, Apsley, and recognized you instantly, from your picture on this site, but was overtaken by a bout of shyness, and, later, after the opening was finished, I could not find you. Ships in the night.

This board has everything: opportunities to make money, or go broke, mystery, romance (possibly), love, hate, (both sure things), Drama (you always spell Drama with a capital D), suspense, joy, tears, excitement, history-making legal cases, advice, bad advice, spelling mistakes, it has it all!  BUT we cannot go forward unless we make an effort to post, now and then. And you can do this in the provacy (See? I told you!) of your home, in Timmy's, in the pub, and even (heaven forfend) in the bathroom, but please keep the last part to yourself.

As Mickey Roonie used to say, waddya say folks? We got a free barn, shall we put on a play?

Ernest Bidder:

You have it all wrong.  Shortly after the upcoming Ramara tax sale, I will lose any winnings I may have made from tax sales if I win the property within walking distance of Casino Rama.

So that's a win/lose, and then, not too long thereafter, a WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN situation. right?

Firstly....I still have my shirt....my complaint was that I could have made enough to buy more shirts, but didn't due to a post sale redemption (engineered by Curtis, aka guy from the hills).

Secondly....that's an old picture, and I have never attended any sales in Apsley.

No need to be shy, I don't bite....but I hear that Dave does.

Frank:

Is Curtis, aka guy from the hills, also the guy from the Mountain? I thought he fell off a cliff. It may not have been Apsley, but I believe it was up around that area; this would be 8 or 10 years ago, perhaps a bit more. What with all of Dave's beer, you may not still have it in memory. As far as the picture goes, I did a mental adjustment for time that has passed.

Frank:

In this tax sale market I feel like one of those little lap dogs as my bark is worse then my non existant bite.  Lately in tax sales it has been hard to find anything worthwhile to sink my teeth into; what with poorer quality properties,  and high bid prices.

I thought Frank's profile picture was a picture of Bruce Willis. No?

I'd like to hear some thoughts on the Norfolk properties. A couple downtown Simcoe had no bids?

Frank may have another identity.  No his photo is not of BW.  This is the person I wonder he might be.

I saw that article a few weeks ago...sorry to disappoint you Dave, but I can assure you they've got the wrong guy.  If you buy the lot next to the Casino we could party all nite and crash at your place....what's on for breakfast.  You could lend me some of your fortune to put into the machines, if anything comes out I could pay you back, if not you will have a nice little tax write-off.

Bruce uses my picture for his on-line posts, so why shouldn't i use his....the resemblance is uncanny.

Could never figure out why Curtis won't come clean and admit to his shenanigans.
