Title: Onland Title Search vs OntarioTaxSales Title Summary

Hello,

New here and new to tax sales.  I've been busy reading the wealth of information already on this forum but I have a question I can't find the answer too.

When ordering a Title Summary through OntarioTaxSales for example, do they provide you with more information than a title search through Onland.ca would provide?

Ontario tax sales gives you much more as they provide a sheriff search and a summary of the title search and advise you if there is a threat or issue .   The extra for OTS   is money well spent

Thanks for the reply.  I contacted OTS earlier today to ask what was included.  The summary and the work behind it appear to be a bargain.

The title search summary includes:

1.    the parcel abstract

2.    execution search(s) against the owners on title

3.    deed

4.    survey (if available)

5.    easements (if any)

6.    Crown interests (if any)

7.    writs (if any)

8.    and any other document on title that will affect the property after the tax deed is registered.

There also is a summary sheet outlining the information regarding the findings of the search.
