Title: Should we have a New member forum
Post by: Dave2 on February 05, 2009, 03:12:32 PM
Rob:

As site administrator I am going to address this one to you.  On other forums like this one
I have seen a new member forum where members have described a little about themselves.

Has this ever been contemplated?

Problem of course with people like myself who are neither new or old but I am sure we can
address.

Generally things seem to be a little quiet now so I thought I would throw this out and see reaction.

I don't know how Rob will reply...obvious problem with the internet, I don't even know if he is really Rob...or is it Gloria.

Would it make a difference if you knew that I was an old fella, with a couple of bucks to invest, and kinda knew my stuff....or a 25 year old, unmarried, female...with no money, and lots of legs.

I think I'll give it a try and see if it makes a difference...I'll sign myself up as Gloria, and see if reponses to my queries change,  I'll offer no suggestions, but just ask a lot of 'blondie' questions (I apologize in advance for the stereotype).   Maybe a way for me to collect on that bottle of rum.

ast time I was allowed to look openly at 25 year ladies with leggs was at the
Ratskellar over 30 years ago.  That was before I got a chaperone with respect to those
issues.

Ha....Now I know your younger ....  I was doing the Rat 40 years ago.   Fun wow.

Back in the BBS days that was very common and usually enforced :)  I think it's a great idea, and I'll make a board where new members can introduce themselves.  But no one should feel pressure they have to.

They will.  Gloria is a new character..  now if Gloria was 25 year old, unmarried, female, and lots of legs and with a couple of bucks to invest, and kinda knew my stuff.  Think of the responses.

How old is old? Whats the Ratskellar?

I'm a middle aged 'gold digger' and have a few 'bucks' from previous suitors and live well below my means.  Fear of getting old keeps me from overspending since I may not have as many choices in the future. I try not to live off the money from previous relationships and instead try and invest it wisely.  I also work, mostly locums and have considered my own business, possibly a franchise.
I'm on this forum hoping a few of you will let on how much money you have, that is how I stalk my prey.  Ages and marital status please.

I'm 5'11", available, Gregory Peckish as to looks, chemist, inventor, award-winning sailor with 50' ketch, independantly wealthy, world traveller, tanned, fit, wine connoisseur, hobbyist chef, married thrice, to wealthy wonderful women, who all enjoyed a fairly short marriage, unfortunately, and I also keep a coffin downstairs. I am known as Frank or, sometimes, Gloria, and am presently looking for a wealthy woman, without encumbrances, who would be willing to devote a short portion of her remaining years with me.

By the way, Sasha, if you and I get together, you won't have to fear growing old.

Y'know, I'm really sorry that I every got myself involved on this topic.   I'm really not interested ... my motto has always been 'one wife, one mortgage'.

Good luck to all the rest of you romance seekers, hope you find the one you want, and that you don't meet up with Ernest and his arsenic porridge.
