Five or more, depending on the property and its past uses as revealed in the Phase I.  

Never say never as to redemptions.....perhaps Curtis (aka Hill-Billy) will work out a deal with the current owners and scoop up these lovely gems.

If you are in the hole boring business, then that motto makes perfect sense.

Your hole is our goal.

Once the geo-tech work is done and if there are contaminants found, then the real dollars start to roll out for the clean-up.   Might as well take your dollar bills and light them up as you pour them into the hole that I have drilled for you.

You are an astute student.   As this is considered 'hazard land' and can't be built on it should either carry an assessment of $1....or more appropriately fall under Municipal/Conservation ownership.   The map does clearly show it as being in a flood plain....and the rain falls mainly on the plain, in Spain. 

The details of the past ownership, use, and incorrect assessment on the property and the total quantum of the cancellation price are in (in this case) redundant as no one should consider bidding on this (as D. Trump would say) shit-hole.

The tax sale process has been used as a rather inexpensive means of land expropriation in the past, and this could be one of those situations.

I saw that article a few weeks ago...sorry to disappoint you Dave, but I can assure you they've got the wrong guy.  If you buy the lot next to the Casino we could party all nite and crash at your place....what's on for breakfast.  You could lend me some of your fortune to put into the machines, if anything comes out I could pay you back, if not you will have a nice little tax write-off.

Bruce uses my picture for his on-line posts, so why shouldn't i use his....the resemblance is uncanny.

Could never figure out why Curtis won't come clean and admit to his shenanigans.

Firstly....I still have my shirt....my complaint was that I could have made enough to buy more shirts, but didn't due to a post sale redemption (engineered by Curtis, aka guy from the hills). 

Secondly....that's an old picture, and I have never attended any sales in Apsley.

No need to be shy, I don't bite....but I hear that Dave does.

No.....one in Gravenhurst that got cancelled.....two properties with same address, but one was Unit 1, and one Unit 2....very difficult to distinguish which one you'd be bidding on.

Lara's Daddy.......who can spell PLASTIMET.....recycling company in Hamilton....big fire....huge costs to clean up by MOE placed on top of tax account.  Tax sale, but no buyers, now a Municipal park.    All kinds of stuff can get added to the tax account.

Ernie....not as lonely as you think....Dave is digging for gold on some island, and the rest of us are waiting for him to return so we can make fun of him, and get him to buy the beer with his loot.

Daddy....don't count your chickens, I think you will see more redemptions than ever before in the next few years.   New two year rule will ensure that holds true,   There will be much more nothing for us to talk about, and the hill-billy will chirp in with more nonsense than ever before.

Happy hunting, and be wary of properties that are not readily identifiable...such as one now up for sale with a double address, if you bid on the wrong one you will come up very short.  Cool
