Ouch! Well I guess we won't continue to hold our breath for a sale then.
I'm still a little confused though... Generally, the land taxes for unorganized properties are quite small in comparison to it's retail value and especially in comparison to a similar property in an organized township. For an extreme example, check this out:

So my point is, how would a delinquent owner recover his equity portion of the property after the crown confiscates it for a meager amount of land taxes owing? I understand in a normal tax sale, he could apply to receive the excess funds from the sale... But in your scenario, how does this happen? Are they obligated to turn around and sell it within a certain amount of time? Maybe even in a discounted "fire sale" fashion to push a quick settlement?
I'm very interested to hear more details about this, if possible.
