Depends what you are looking for on these lots, checked out the ones on Ridge Rd, look quite buildable, but no water access, a great walkout situation and heavily treed.   One lot does go down to the water but I believe that to be an E P area and water would be very shallow (swamp) the lake itself is not great as far as being a Muskoka lake, such as rocks trees water. Depends what you are looking for.

I could be way of base here but is this not an old and failed back lot development around 3 Mile lake.  If memory serves you can't get a building permit for any of those lots and I think some were for sale for about $1,500 about 6-7 years ago.  Has anything changed in relation to these lots??

So JMAN, I'm thinking that it is "maybe" worth the taxsale price & definitely not one of those jewels that we miss, like what I'm hearing about Kearney?  All I see is a narrow lot and many future problems with the neighbours at the year round place, I don't see them as being the most congenial bunch, reminded me of something out of the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.  Same number of teeth, although my view was from a distance.

Was in the area of the Springwater place on Sunday, so we dropped by. Chose the method suggested of going to the neighbouring place that is for sale and empty.  All accounts previously on here are correct about all the junk when driving down the lane way.  The old place is in pretty tough shape, interesting thought, the other cottage that was noted as being set back slightly further had smoke coming out of its chimney. It looks much like the subject property and not in much better shape.  Looks like family members that built these places from logs from the property.  It was mentioned before that these places had not been used in years.  There were people at the year round place, it is definitely not a prize either.  The cottage that is for sale may have a tough time, as the neighbouring places really bring it down.  The driveway from the highway to the subject property, had a gate across that was locked.  Looks like everyone uses the same access road driveway.  Even if you got this place it tends to look like 1) a junk yard driving in & 2) where the property lines exist as a problem (survey yes but then probs with the neighbours) & 3) can you rebuild something or does it become a camping lot?

Just looked at the pics on OntarioTaxSales website, doesn't look pretty.  I'm thinking the bulldozer reference is simply that this is a teardown, however I'm wondering if you could then rebuild with the lot only being 50ft wide at the maximum.  A match might be the best friend to this old cottage, looks like there is no power going to it anymore as the meter has been removed.  Does anyone know this lake, as far as size or depth or water quality.  Didn't sound to pleasant about the junk yard on the way in either. Don't think that would be the best neighbour to have.

Thanx Dave, since this is coming up soon, I'm just relying on my memory (which is continually getting worse), I have to agree with the concerns that were posted here.  I thought it was closer to front street and the water.  I'm going to make a call to someone that I know down there, if I can reach him, I might have a little more for you. 
That is a pretty extensive list.  I don't recall seeing this on the emails that I get from OntarioTaxSales.com.  Wonder how a list that size was missed, or my eyesight is failing as well.
Thanx for your help in finding this info, I'll let you know if I get more info.

Has anyone done much research on the .60 ac property on Joseph St (Hwy 118) in Pt Carling.  Supposed to be between #56 & #58, all I see there is a laneway that goes down to some properties at Silver Lake. Anybody have some insight here?

Has any one been looking into the May28 sale of a property being described as near Leonard Lake?  Description location is FROM HWY118W TURN LEFT ONTO LEONARD LK RD 2. PROPERTY IS LOCATED ON NORTH SIDE OF ROAD, wondering how far down the road and what the terrain might be like.

I saw a couple leaving there driving a new Honda Pilot, they were also checking the Moon River, Bala spot when I was there.  Would that have perhaps been any of you folks??

I'm new so, I did send in a bid.  Wanted to at least go through "the process."  Agreed that it would likely be redeemed.  Sent the bid via Xpresspost, it shows it was rec'd by the post office on April 18 @ 9:39am, they attempted delivery and left a card on April21@10:42am.  I'm pretty sure the township office would have been open at this time.  Is there a better way to do this other than Xpresspost, or do you need to incur the costs of a courier.  Like I said, I'm new and looking for some advice.
