It is very obvious I have hit a nerve with this and it is clear by your continuous posts about it.  I still stand by it and I bet the majority of people on this site do as well.  Just the vocal few that "control" the site do not.

 I am thinking you are giving yourself too much credit here.

The vocal few are the ones that are contributing...not controlling. Do some research and contribute in two weeks.

The one thing that always impressed me about this site was the cordiality and politeness.

Unfortunately not always true especially if you happen to be a real estate agent. However I am sure Netpred is right that this site is better than most.

Someone on this site wisely said

Free advice  worth every penny you paid.   Always check out what people say. If you are interested in a piece of land and someone says its actually swamp, Dont take it as gospel but keep it in mind

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS I DO NOT GO ONTO OCCUPIED PROPERTY AS IT IS TOO RISKY.

That has always been my position.  Getting occupants out....in winter...uhhg.
I turned down sweet heart deal in the Beach decades ago because the rooming house came occupied.  Not to bad but 60 days notice for renters. A friend asked if I would have trouble sleeping. It haunted me enough to stay with unoccupied.  That is just me ,if you want to go after negligent deadbeats go ahead. They should have sold and found a place they could afford.
Does anyone have experience with acquiring occupied properties? In this game that could be an interesting topic.

I think [maybe] 5, but in the current year if that is possible.  That way they are active and not just posting a quick five to see a lifetime of results.  Also I think this will be an incentive to post, with a reward......results!

Back to a results section of this forum...I don't know why it has not been done.  It is all public info, and this forum could do a better job than OTS, [sorry Jeff].

'Results' would be a great category for this website.  I am sure who ever posted results would get a lot of applauds.

As per results..this forum should really have a results section.  ... Mind you I have requested results tons of time on here and rarely get a response..did anyone notice that the innisfil results arent posted here...

What do you think Rob?  Some of the categories are not not to active and could be archived into general if space is a problem.

Your final remark about professionalism is interesting. I do not wish to identify myself to you but I have emailed or left telephone messages to OTS regarding several issues and have never had a response from your company.

Although I agree with Netpred for the most part, I have had a lot contact with OTS a few years back.  Jeff replied by email to all my questions.  The responses I got were always very professional but cautious.
That said, I have let my membership lapse.

I'm curious as to why the companies who are selling info kits are not also posting the results in a public place

'Results' would be a great category for this website.  I am sure who ever posted results would get a lot of applauds.  Not too difficult...usually just a phone call. Those results would be archived on this site...what a great resource of info that would be! Also it would cut out OTS, one of the few reasons I would want to be a member.

#1 seems like an end user. As long as there are no hidden issues, the final cost should be below market by a bit.

I find it amazing. The wife called it a tear down, [I said "it's a Tax Sale, you can't expect a lot"] The costs are the roof, electrical, lots of unknowns!  A ton of work!  The waterfront is not the best. It would be difficult to upgrade and sell and make much. Oh well, I guess they really wanted it.  I think Netpred is right...end surer.
