OK, Law Degree is out of the question.  Black's law dictionary is reasonable.

Would anybody happen to know if the Ontario "provincial Land Registry" has any online reference?  Better to hear from the horse's mouth if possible.

Hello...

I went and did my first title search and was wondering if somebody can help me understand the meaning of a few of the "Instrument Type" items.  Does anybody know where I could get a "manual" if there is such a thing, or perhaps a reference document, or even another post in this forum?  What I did is run the search on my own property to educate myself.

Here are a few of the items:

1. Notice
2. Charge
3. Postponement
4. Plan Condominium
5. Declaration Condo
6. Bylaw
7. Disch of Charge
8. Transfer
9. No chng addr inst
10. Lien
11. Condo Lien
12. Trans power sale
13. LR's Order
14. Transfer Easement
15. Plan Reference

Hi Guys,

What happens to accumulated gas and hydro bills?  Do they dissapear as well with private mortgages?  I understand that debt to the crown stays.

Hi guys...

Do you know which company offers reliable title and execution searches at a competitive price?  As you have all probably experienced, you can spend a lot of money without ever winning at a tax sale.

I'm not familiar as to how to perform them, but I'd like to learn.  Perhaps you know where could I get some instruction???

Can anyone point me to where I can get a description of all the abbreviations used in a tax sale listing?

For instance:
