Pfm1011 you are right. I was in this house a year ago and if anyone wants to flip it and make money they better not pay more than $100,000 for it. Needs total renovation inside and as I said earlier there is a slight mold problem. I am not bidding on it this time, someone will surely over bid on it. Housing market in Oshawa has taken a bit of a hit. I've been trying to sell a flip of mine in Brooklin and am getting offers $25,000- $30,000 below asking. Looks like I'm going to lose my shirt on that one. Good luck to whoever wins this bid.

I was at the sale last year. The house is assessed at $164,000. The highest bid was $141,500. The envelopes that Oshawa supplied for everyone to put their bids in did not say"tax sale" on the front. One bidder wrote tax sale on his and said all other bids should be thrown out since those envelopes did not have tax sale written on them. City decided to cancell sale. This house probably will not be redeemed, family in- fighting. House has been vacant for almost two years. It was on mls before tax sale, I put an offer on it but got no response. Needs major work slight mold problem in basement.

I put an offer on that house when it was listed. Vendor did not even respond to offer. I was told that it was a nasty divorce and one person was in England. You never know what people will do when emotions are involved.

Just wondering if anyone has any information on the properties up for sale in Sudbury. I e-mailed the municipality but they weren't of much help. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was going to go but on the day of the sale found out that 130 LaSalle, 1974 Wayne and the gas bar on Mitton were all cancelled.

I took a look at these properties on the weekend. If you look in the basement window at the back of 1974 Wayne Ave you can see the mold all over the floors walls and ceiling. The same with 130 Lasalle, if you look in the basement windows you'll actually see standing water, the whole basement is flooded.

According to the municipality as of July 27 the properties were still available.
   302 Confederation St. is a former variety store which is vacant, it also has two apartments unknown if vacant.
   130 LaSalle Rd. is a vacant single family dwelling.
   363 Mitton St. S. is a vacant former gas station.
   1974 Wayne Ave is a vacant single family dwelling.
   Westgrove Dr. is a vacant remant piece of road left over when subdivision was built. It is not a building lot.
 
 I have not yet gone to see these properties. Any more information would be greatly appreciated.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems getting on this site? Today is the first time in three days that I could get on and I still can't access the main site. Any info would be greatley appreciated. Thank you.

Yeah I was there and put in a bid on the Stuart St property.
        Land 15 Shirl St. Min. tender $16,658.16
          One tender for $22,101.00

       Land 92 Stuart St. Min. tender $29,245.99
            25 bids, two were rejected, highest bid $65,150.50  second highest bid was $62,000.00

       No bids put in on any other property.

Thirty two bids in total. One of them withdrew before reading, three others were rejected. Winning bid was $221,000.00 ,second highest  bid was $157,100.00. Another case of overbidding. Good luck everyone on next sale.

Just got my letter today too. Like I  said before I was in that house before the tax sale. It was listed with real estate. I put in an offer of $110,000 cash but got no response from selling party. After my offer the real estate agent took the house off the market since the client wouldn't deal with any offers. I figure it needs  at least $ 30,000 in repairs, thats why I think the winning bid was way too high. Doesn't  matter now they get to try again. Good luck.
