There are more up to date sheriff auction's in the Ontario Gazette, "it is let the buyer beware," as in the referred internet suggested, it does state the "buyer is responsible." Cathy Mantler

Maybe you are thinking of the wrong type of farming. There is alternative farming, such as chickens and windmills.

Well, at least I know what to tell my bank, I wanted to put an offer in on these two properties, I thought it was worth this money, but you are right, it was a tax sale, you do not pay this kind of price. I looked at this property, I thought it was worth more than this, it is nice flat land, with trees, access to a main road (highway 3, which may open this land to development, ie sewers are coming to rural areas, especially in the general townships, due to environmental issues). The 6 acres is a nice piece of property, for $25,050. Although, the train yard is right behind it. But, there are at least 10- $300,000+ homes in behind this area.
