Why are the min. tenders all round numbers? This is the first time I have seen this. They are all higher then usual too. It looks like the township is trying to get a little (a lot) more then just the taxes back. I'm no pro by any stretch of the imagination, but does anyone else see something wrong here?

The 34 Acres in Bowmanville that is up for tax sale for the 3rd time, and no one wants to touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Got 2 questions???

1. I have not investigated this one all that much as it looks like it may have environmental issues. Has anyone confirmed this?
2. Correct me if I'm wrong but if a property goes up for sale and there are no takers, the city gets it. So I am assuming the property must be really bad if the city does not even want it for free. Taking a long shot here but assuming there are no issues with property and no one wants it because of price, is it possible to make some kind of deal with the city and say I will take this off your hands for 5K?

Just a thought, be nice with your reply, and no I have not recently left the nut house.

I was hoping OTS's "Featured Properties" in Clarington would have something tempting. #1 is an old gas station (big $$$ for clean up), #2 very small vacant lot (not buildable), #3 was up for tax sale last year. Looked like a quarry site. If it is up again it won't redeem. Maybe something Dave2 might be interested in, but for the rest of us no luck.

Hopefully Netpred is still in the Christmas spirit and will gracefully bow out of this one. After all if he gets any more land he will have to elect his own Members of Provincial Parliament and we will end up with another province call "Netpredsland". I'm going to hold my hopes up, and believe I will catch a break and this guy will not redeem (highly unlikely). Besides how big an area can one guy have to hunt in, everything north of highway #7? 

P.S. I only got 97 more Karma points till I hit 100!!! How about some love.

What is your inside info??? I was planning this to be my "end of the world" sanctuary / recreational property. 

I have never seen a municipality say "There is a dwelling on the property which is presently occupied NOTE ? this is private property"

Kind of got the feeling this guy was a little crazy, sitting on his front porch with a shotgun.

Other than you top dogs being rich, whats the best way to round up large amounts of cash to pay for a tax sale (before you can get a mortgage for it)? I can't get that much out of my own mortgage.

I was just trying to bring some humor to the board. I am interested, however I have been reading this board for a couple of years and I have heard how talking to the tenants stirs up a lot of bull, so not to worry I won't be doing that. But on a lighter note, I am a tax sale virgin, and this girl does look like the one to pop my cherry. LOL.

It could also be the brick house painted red. (in the run down boarded up industrial area). I could not see the house address on Goggle maps. Either way, not prime real estate.... keep looking I guess.
