Yes everyone was new at one point or another. Some have learned from others, and others took it upon themselves to learn the business. Sometimes it is best to sit and read up a bit before throwing things out to the public. This is a public forum.
I have only won 1 tax sale. So I'm also very new. I read a lot on the properties, local area, and researched everything from a far. I even won with out anyone even knowing.
Yes never talk to locals; everyone wants the deal of a lifetime. Especially the neighbors, why not double your lot to increase your value down the road?

Congratulations!

Why so long to let us know? Was there an issue registering the tax deed?

Anyway, what is the property really like? what are your plans? Please keep us advised if you are building and let us know how it works out for you.

This is a great story and why most of us are here - to buy our dream property! This looks like another feel-good happy story. We need more posts like this.

No issue with the deed, as I paid the total in full. I have been paying the taxes and the municipality has been sending me updates, local new, etc.
Yes it is a bit of a pain to access but not all that bad for a young family. Great place to start?

I don't post much. As some would say I'm a lurker? Or do I just keep my mouth shut as you guys seem to know a lot more than the everage person.
I have been watching this forum for quite sometime. Even before I reg. I always stopped by and took a look at what was being said.
I did however buy my first property against everyone's advice. This property was a lot on an island? I feel I did do quite well, except I way over bid as I was the only bidder, should have bid just the ask, hence the advice everyone was say it was a waste, snake ridden, wetland etc...
One question what is the limit that one would have to post to attain the "advance" status?
