Questions and Answers / Re: Writ Excecution Vs. Title Check
« on: March 27, 2007, 11:19:47 PM »I was under the impresion that a "writ of exicution" was a search done on an individal, namely the listed owner/s of the property. And the "Title Search" is actualy searching the property for any liens against it?a "title search" will list what has happened at the local LRO for a property. Charges/Mortgages, Tax Sale Certificates, Transfers, etc.
My research now leads me to believe that a writ of execution iscalled a Writ of Seizure and Sale in Ontario so I was confused. A writ of execution directs the sheriff to seize and sell property of a perosn.
