Oshawa Results:
Two Cancelled: 126 Court & 558 Cartier Ave.
232 Mckim went for 82,000 and change much better then the last
Oshawa Tax Sale.
I bought one up the street from 126 Court St.
For 87,500 regular real estate deal.

Question for those (Lawyers on Board)
I gave notice to the Durham water dept 2weeks before the sale.
They are now coming after me for the bill ($500.00) which in Oshawa is about 5yrs water.
They are going to put a lien on the property but waited until after the sale to collect.
Can they do this they say bill stays with property.
Not new owners fault they could not collect on services provided in past. They never turned off the water?
My Lawyers answer was u got a good deal so no biggy! And title insurance will cover it.

So all those selling or thinking of selling no need to pay water bill the next guy will have too.

If it was a regular real estate deal , your lawyer screwed up as that should have been an adjustment and should have been deducted from the check to the seller.  This is exactly what he is paid to do.

Hand it to your lawyer tell  him to get it from the seller or pay it himself .    If you havent paid him yet..reduce his bill ..

Lawyers are getting lazy. I just sold one of my properties. What the lawyer did is simply sending a letter to each every utility companies telling them the property is being sold. I'm still dealing with utility companies myself now for those last bills even I don't own the property anymore.

This happened to me also.I received a tax bill for a property I sold after almost 1 YEAR later .

How bad is the water damage inside 232 Mckim? It look in pretty rough shape.
