Bakelite Site
The Bakelite Thermosets site comprises
approximately 75 acres of marshland and dry
uplands. Originally, the property was low
pastureland used for agricultural purposes. It
was used for industry between the 1940?s and
1990, with a focus on the manufacture of plastic
resins and formaldehyde.
Over the past 12 years many environmental
investigations and site remediation activities
have been undertaken, including
decommissioning of a number of former
storage lagoons and the off site disposal of
associated contaminated soils; removal and off
site disposal of buried drums of solid and liquid
industrial wastes; removal and off site disposal
of PCB impacted sludges; and
decommissioning of a concrete settling basin

Sounds like a great site to combine with the tire dump that some unfortunate soul picked up just west of here a couple of years ago. You could hide the contaminated land beneath the tires. Maybe they would sink and save you the trouble of burying them
Anyone want to bet that someone buys the place.
