It is good to see the Brantford Tax Sales are now cancelled.

I have been watching the properties for tax sales in and around the Eagle's Nest Tract, Brantford.

As far as I know, most of those lands are claimed by the Six Nations.  One of them is legally owned by the Six Nations.
They have been not only protesting and but occasionally blocking any development attempts in the area.
They were asking for some kind of benefits to the first nations before any development is initiated.
 
The city or the province, no actually the Federal Government must resolve this land claim conflict BEFORE the city puts the properties up for tax sales. 

Imagine one of us ends up winning a property there but then soon realize that the property is always under a close watch by the natives.

By all means, I try to stay far away from native land claims as there are too much of unknowns and risks associated.
