Title Search "How to"?

Hi all,

I am looking for a "How to do a title search" document so I can learn how to do a title search myself.

I am currently investingating a small county property (1/2 ac).  I am not looking to make money, just looking for a cost effective way of purchasing a family getaway spot to tent trailer on.  I want to make sure that the lot is legally accessable (probably by a cottage road) and that I am not bidding on a problem property.

I have contacted the local municipality for the zoning by-law information to confirm what is permitted on the property.  I am having a hard time determining if the lots are accessable.  I have gone through a number of topo maps and aerial photos but can't see enough detail.  I will be viewing the property in person, that is if i can find my way to it :-)

Any way, any pointers for a newbie would be greatly appreciated!
