Just got the package on the lot in Parry Sound.  Says it is on the north side of Wellington Street...can't find Wellington street anywhere in Parry Sound.  Map the town sent shows it on north side of Taite Street...can't find that on any maps either.

If go to google maps you will see that there is nothing between Bowes and Cedar (where this is supposed to be), looks like there is a plan on the block of land, but no one ever built the road, and therefore this lot is probably landlocked and not buildable until someone builds the road, etc....be careful.

Very nice, older neighbourhood of small brick houses (bungalows).  40/120 lot size.
3 bedroom, 1 floor. 932 sq ft, and about half finished basement.

Current owner has been there since it was built in 1951, and it is assessed at $164,000  (the house next door at #206 is for sale at $204,900.

Pretty sure this one will be redeemed by family.  If not...see you at the sale.

and (big plus)...you get to go through it and find any deficiencies and get the price (whatever you conclude your negotiations at) adjusted downwards...yes you even get the dining room set, gazebo and tv...and much more. 

I would be very surprised to see the one up for tax sale go for anywhere near that, given that you can't even go into it and don't know what denizens might lay inside.   But (and that is a big butt) there are people who don't check this stuff out.

If you can't be good, then at least have fun.
