I am totally still new to navigating this site and cannot seem to locate any recent tax sales...all I see are ones from July 8th - where are the new ones located?
I am looking in the Durham region...
thanks!

Nicole
Rob is pretty good at updating the listings within a week or two of their original advertising. In most cases the sale occurs up to a month away from that date - so you still have time to review and act.
If you want to keep right up to the moment you can check the following site every Saturday evening for the latest offerings. It is the Ontario Gazette, and every Municipality conducting a sale (and sherrif's sale) is on it:
http://www.gov.on.ca/ont/portal/!ut/p/.cmd/cs/.ce/7_0_A/.s/7_0_A3D/_s.7_0_A/7_0_A3D/_l/en?docid=STEL01_033664

Strange
, most of the times when you cut and paste a link it works - the last one I gave you doesn't. If you goodle 'ontario gazette' you will go to the government site, then hit English, or if you prefer French (Nicole sounds like you might be).
On the left side, the second one down is 'recent issues' - when you hit that one you will come up with the last dozen editions. When you click on the edition you want you will go to page one and get a list of sections on the left side of your screen. Go near the bottom of the list and you will get Sherrif's sales, Municipal tax sales by public tender, and sometimes by auction. Some weeks you will see that the publication is split in two - one of them will have what you want.
The site also allows you to see the sales that have happened since Jan. 1, 2000 - no results, just the original ads.

Hi Nerdgirl,
Look for a new update in the next few weeks. I know you looking for Durham properties only. I went back through past properties and found the latest examples of Oshawa, Whitby and Ajax. Take a look at the listings to get a better understanding of how they work. Also notice how spaced apart they are in terms of time. If you are interested in getting a property right away you may need to look out of the Durham area or be patient.
