Island J in Sharbot Lake

  Well, Dave2, here's another gem: Island J in Sharbot Lake is up for tax sale. At the minimum bid, $19k+, it's probably a fair size, and maybe has Al Capone's hideway hidden away. I mention AC just because a friend recently told me that, during prohibition, 'shine used to be made on the Island just west of Beaverton, loaded into the pontoons of a boat or some such, and spirited (pun intended) to Orillia hospital, where it was bottled or containered for further shipment. Once you reach a certain age, you start to hear all kinds of strange stories. It is true that the CIBC in Beaverton, in the late '50s, still bore the plugged machine gun bullet holes in the lovely woodwork, generated by the impatience of one of the Boyd gang, when the staff could not generate enough speed to keep the gang calm. Ah, everyone was relaxed in the '50s.

Rob is up early this morning must be preparing for the big game party tomorrow.  Too bad that the Ticats are going to walk all over his western team.    

In terms of your island property Ernest Bidder I am not certain if I want to go after water access only property, at the beginning of December particularly after my experience on a Lake near Alqonkuin park earlier this year.  I am reminded of the song that went. "And they never returned and they never returned and their fate is still unknown"

Of course there are some of us who have unique transportation capability.  (see photo).  

Speaking of bravery Ernest Bidder was it you who won the Moose property earlier this week.  After my experience with dogs and occupied dwelling earlier this year in Haliburton, I decided to pass on that one.  Hate to see the buyer's head mounted on the Totem pole.  

Finally regarding your production of booze, right now I am concentrating on seeing if I can get the raw materials. Explain in December.

Although I just updated the Alberta tax sale listings, I'm still rooting for the Eastern team.   It's going to be a classic game this year, hopefully the weather works in the Ticat's favour.

  No, Dave2, as stated earlier, I'm checkmated  until we build our new energy-efficent retirement home, so no bidding on anything, no matter how good a deal it appears. As to the production of booze, it's more like reduction of booze, down to its baser elements.

I can imagine my survival time if I told the people who win beer bets from me like Netpred or Ernest bidder that I was giving them payments in one trillionth of a litre.    

Of course they may not have the chance after the members of the Alberta Board get through with me after my last post there. I understand being underfoot of a Sampede can be tough on the body but I figured after 4 years since the last post I might get away with it.

I am a Manitoulin lady that bought that Tehkummah property last year are you referring to me?

 A Manitoulin property was won last year by a lady who had some previous familial connection to the land, and found someone's hunting cabin had been built on the land. I cannot figure out how to search for the old posts, but, if you are she, did you wind up having to take someone large with you, are you happy with the end result, etc. I'm always curious to hear the end result of some of the unfinished tales posted here, and, like everyone else, like to hear a happy ending. 'Twas you, and is there a happy ending? I hope so.
