Hi Dale,
I'm totally new to this, so I can give you NO advice, but I can tell you what I found out about the Trent Hills properties. they were developed in the early '60's before the planning act....they haven't been developed because the municipality has a 'no building permit' order on them due to a private road. Seems one person owns the access road and won't turn it over to the municipality, so they don't want to issue building permits on any of the lots. Seems the town is involved in a lawsuit with someone who bought a farm on a private road or something...anyway, they've been burned so they're being cautious. I was told there are no guarantees they'll ever be buildable. Hope that helps.

Did anyone here about the results of the sale? I didn't bid, but I'm curious. . .

To all:
Sorry for the delay in responding but I like to get the official deed before I say anything.
All properties sold. High bid was $11,900 which was for the property I bought. One other one bought for appraised value and the thrid for about 80% of appraised value.
This was above appraised value but this property was also the one that had the most active interest as there were 18 valid bids received.
One the one that sold for appraised value there were seven or eight bids. Interestingly enough I also bid on it but was the LOW bidder. I am not sure but believe it may have been sold to the adjacent property owner.
The third property had 4 or 5 bids and sold for 80% of appraised value.
trust this helps
Dave
