Welland property

I have no interest in this property other than out of curiousity. Here's what I dug up in 5 mins of google:
Environmental order.. doesn't sound as bad as some I've read:
http://www.ert.gov.on.ca/files/ORD/06152o2.pdf
Current/recent tenants of the property:
www.popandlock.net
A little more upside investment potential than the tax sale properties that are a 10 hour drive from Toronto with no road access, but I'm not about to roll the dice on this one.

Good luck trying to unload a contaminated industrial property in an area with hundreds of abandon factories that are on the market.
You would have better luck in Moonbeam.

Groundwater contamination of known carcinogens bad enough to contaminate the neighbours basements....not much of a dice roll.... save time..file your bankruptcy papers at the same time as the deed
What is nasty ( good for the public actually) is that the directors are named personally...

It looks like these guys had some cleanup plan that the ministry agreed to but they just didn't follow through. At least that's better than some brownfields that have went up for tax sale in Toronto that could probably never be restored.
