TAKE NOTICE that tenders are invited for the purchase of the land(s)
described below and will be received until 3:00 p.m. local time on May 31st,
2011 at the Township Offices, 1024 Hurlwood Lane, P.O. Box 159, Orillia,
Ontario, L3V 6J3.
The tenders will then be opened in public on the same day at 3:30 p.m. at the
Township Offices.
Description of Lands:
Firstly: PT SW 1/2 LT 1
8, CON 13, Tay, now Township of Severn, County
of Simcoe, being PT 13, 51R11838 (Stopped-up & closed by By-law 2003-
04 as in SC298163); S/T EASE over PT 1, 51R31814 as in SC298319 &
SC298331; S/T EASE over PT 13, 51R11838 as in SC298347 & SC298348.
Being all of PIN 58599-0181 (LT).
Secondly: PT SW 1/2 LT 18, CON 13, Tay, now Township of Severn, County
of Simcoe, as in SC871238 lying N of PT 13, 51R11838; Description may
not be acceptable in the future - see LR. Being all of PIN 58599-0182 (LT).
Thirdly: PT SW 1/2 LT 18, CON 13, Tay, now Township of Severn, County
of Simcoe as in SC871238 lying S of PT 13, 51R11838; Description may not
be acceptable in the future - see LR. Being all of PIN 58599-0183 (LT). Roll
# 43 51 040 009 44700.
Minimum Tender Amount: $ 13,815.06
Tenders must be submitted in the prescribed form and must be accompanied
by a deposit in the form of a money order or of a bank draft or cheque
certified by a bank or trust corporation payable to the municipality (or board)
and representing at least 20 per cent of the tender amount.
Except as follows, the municipality makes no representation regarding the
title to or any other matters relating to the land(s) to be sold. Responsibility
for ascertaining these matters rests with the potential purchasers.
This sale is governed by the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, and the
Municipal Tax Sales Rules, as amended, made under that Act. The successful
purchaser will be required to pay the amount tendered plus accumulated
taxes and the relevant Land Transfer Tax.
The municipality has no obligation to provide vacant possession to the
successful purchaser.
Note: HST may be payable by successful purchaser.
The lands Secondly and Thirdly described may have descriptions that
are not acceptable. All tenderers are advised that the Township will
provide a survey reference plan for those portions of the property prior
to the transfer to a successful purchaser.
