Does anyone have any info. on the status, or outcome/results or know anything about the sale of the properties in Trent Hills on January 10th?

Was that the closing date on the sale?
Did anyone email the person in charge of the sale to see how many bids and what the final price was?
I personally have not been following that property, or most properties over the holidays.
If anyone has been following that property, it would be interesting to see the results.

Hello All. Been some slim pickings over the Holidays on tax sales. Good luck to all in the up comming new year. Regarding the Trent Hills properties only one caught my intrest. Lot 2 South of Albert Street, West of Bridge Street. I forget the municipal address. I decided to take a drive up there, I haven't been to Hastings before, nice pretty town very close to Rice lake and on the Trent/Severn Water-Way. I took some pictures, the house looked solid from the out side, large lot, plenty of trees, three kids were playing in the front yard, then ran off. Got back into the truck, then a man approached me. He mentioned he saw me taking photos. He looked a bit nervous, and apprehensive. I told him yes and the reason why I was taking pictures. I asked him if he was a tenant or the owner. He was the owner of the property. We talked and he was quite friendly, and forthcomming to some information, he then offered to me to come inside and take a look at the property. The man was quite forth comming, I told him he had a right to refuse entry onto his property, and he doesn't have to disclose information to me or any one. I accepted his invitation. The house was in quite a mess, and from the bills and papers he had lying around, maybe he was in some sort of financial troubles. The house needed some repairs, but was no means a write off, it needed a good cleaning, painting and some updates, but could of been easily done. I asked if he wanted to sell the property, and he responded "No". I didn't make a bid on the property, I didn't want to get into a long drawn out legal battle over title and eviction, and wasn't sure if I had the resources to win a tender on the property, I figure it would tender out for $60000 to $80000. I'd like to know if the property owner kept his property, or it was tendered out. I didn't call the municipality to follow up on the sale. Please respond if you have any further information, I'd love to hear.

Hi I came across this message and just wanted to let you know about the sale of the propety in hastings. The sale was cut off a few days prior to closing because the owner paid off the taxes. I put in a bid and recieved it back about a week later with a letter saying that the sale was closed prior to the end. Reading this post I guess that guy is pretty happy that his house was not taken away and I guess it is better for me too. Hope this gives you a bit more info on that sale.
