Im going there on June 5th to look at the property and do the title and name searches. I have found out the name of the owner is Naeem RAJA and that there is about 200 acres of wetlands in the middle of the land. Does anybody have any more info?
Does any body want to split the cost of the tiltle searches? Carpool from Toronto?

I've heard that they already have some bids in. Looks like this is a popular one. Iwas planning a low bid and see if I get lucky. Anybody who's not bidding have any advice on a good bid? Anybody want to go splits on a higher bid? With 225 acres I dont see why the winner couldnt sever it.

New info!! called a planner about severing and they told me the land was a former dump! confirmed this with the qunite conservation authority. apparantly the owners were taken to court and walked away from the land.
planner 613-476-3880 s/w joanne and ryan
conservation 613-962-3434 s/w Kathrine
buyer beware
It sounded like my dream property but I've changed my mind on this one.

No I was planning to do a title search today but I was talked out of bothering with it because of the contamination. However now Im hearing that the contamination is to a property to the south on potter road and that its just rumors getting out of hand. I wonder if its the relative of someone who works for the county starting this to disaude bids or if there is truth to it?
how did you find out if someone is living in the house? I would think the best source of information is asking them.

Thirty two bids in total. One of them withdrew before reading, three others were rejected. Winning bid was $221,000.00 ,second highest bid was $157,100.00. Another case of overbidding. Good luck everyone on next sale.

20k over assessed value is just stupid. Better deals and better land are available from MLS. Im glad I didnt waste my day going there. Did any one else hear that about contamination and dumping on the land? I cant get anyone even the people who told me about it to confirm or deny it with any certainty and the local ministry of the enviroment still hasnt returned my call. People dont walk away from a 200k property for no reason, did anyone walk the whole property and see what issues it might have?

hey i did :
no there was nothing like that good chunk of land school beside it and looks like some one was living in the house and taking care of the farm prob. half of the land was a good farm land but the other half is wooded just in the middle small pond but it went for too much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ i think not close to town or any stores just a few houses around it

I had over 100 Pics of the property, and I clearly really liked this one. The dump is a former dump and is located to the south west of the property. The house was tiny, barn in decent shape, shed needed to be torn down. There was a school and a cemetery that intersected on portions of the property which front county rd. 15. Only the portion of the property fronting county rd. 15 was used for farming, while the postion fronting potter rd. was heavily treed. I am assuming that this continued right to the EP zoning on the property. Nevertheless, it was a nice property, but I am satisfied with my bid because I know some sucker overpaid.
