How Do You Decide What Properties to Investigate?
«

Hi All,
I've been looking at various tax sale listings and I'm wondering how to decide which ones to investigate futher?
The municipal descriptions are not usually very descriptive...They give you the roll number and lot number etc. but usually don't specify the actual lot size or what's on the lot.
I'm just curious as to how to determine more info about the properties and how to decide from their municipal descriptions whether they're even worth investigating or not.
I'd appreciate some imput.
Thanks
AP.

Hey there,
From your screen name here sounds like u want country side acres. So best thing is to look into only those in country side (farm etc). If its the size you think you like, take a drive by and see the property. Some of the best properties are the ones that you can get to or drive within like 1-3 hours. Depending on how much drive time you can do. Me, I go as far as or have driven 10hrs north.
Hope it helps,
And as always Buyer Beware

To get any information, you will have to contact the municipality where the tax sale is being held. They're usually pretty helpful and in many cases you won't have to pay anything for an information package on a property which usually will give you info on how to find the property and how big it is.
