Rideau Lakes

Has anyone completed a search on the rideau lakes farm property?  Being new to tax sales I have completed a search bu I am not the greatest at reading a seach.  Can someone please tell me if there are any liens against the proeprty or hiddencost that if sucessful I will have to pay?

Hate to be "nasty" but why would anyone  pay for a title search, execution search etc and then tell you the results so you can bid against them? 

If you are serious about a piece you have to do your "due diligence" which means pay for title searches ,executions etc then check the land out physically.. IE drive five hours to smith falls . Then you have to search comparable sales in area to see what the land is really worth.  Bidding may be free but you are seriously looking at several hundred a bid in diligence and if you want to do comparables you have to spend 2 to 3 k a year for subscriptions

100 acres in smith falls vs 100 acres in toronto .. coal to diamonds difference. Just check MLS for house listings in Smith falls, houses for under 100 k and hersheys hasnt shut down yet..thats next year

Thanks for your help.  I have done all of these things.  I have the information package, title search and photos of the property that I have taken.  I just dont really know how to read the title search.  there are references to Reg. Numbers that are not on the search.  Can anony help? please?

The 776 townline, Smiths Falls, was just redeemed ....just got an email from the treasurer....
but that's the only one....every other property is still good to go, including the cottage on the waterfront !!

I was just at the registry office and the clerk there told me that the cottage is going to pay their taxes tomorrow. So keep an eye out.

I also heard the owner was going to pay up, but you never know for sure until they do.

I can't seem to find the listing for the Rideau Lakes farm property referred to in the Original Post.

Can someone tell me where to look ?

Was it removed ?

That sale is being held at 3 this afternoon....if you hurry you might still make it.  It was originally advertised in the Gazette on Sept 15th, and then corrected on the 29th.  Where have you been??

Cottage @ 1401 North Shore Rd. 6, Upper Rideau Lake, File 05-22 went for 101,000 and 2nd highest @ 87,6000
