Wow, I just discovered this website after having paid about $30 to another website just to get access to exactly the same tax sale property info as this site provides. Bad deal.

I drove several hours the other day to Town of Lakeshore to check out this tax sale property on Notre Dame St only found there was a big sign on the wall with a realtor's info on. Is it normal? What does it mean? Does it mean this property has been redeemed and the original owner is selling it? It looks this commercial property used to be a bar or night club or something alike. It's locked and looks it's been out of business for quite a long time. It's located on a busy road and surrounded by lots of other businesses. Several minutes behind this property is Lake St. Clair. If it's structurally sound it might be a good property to run a restaurant or something.   

As you can see I am quite new to this tax sale thing. I still have a lot to read to learn from you guys. The way I find out info for now for a specific property is, go to CHMC's my property page and use roll number to check some details for that property. I've almost used up my 24 freebies. Is there better way to check detailed property info? Thanks.

The sign means nothing in and of itself.  Except to say that at some point someone tried to sell the property, or a realtor decided to erect an advertising sign on a vacant property.  Check with the town to see it the sale is still on, or if it has been redeemed.   Check the MLS to see if it has truly been listed, or if someone is playing games.  You might check the realtor's web-site as well to see if they have any info listed on it (it may be an old sign that is now irrelevant).

I also noticed that the town sent notices to the Min of Fin. ( ONT ) - legal dept and also  Rev Can......there are CROWN liens registered against the property...as good as the building may look, I think I might be walking away from this one.....

 , you try to scare me away then you bid on it ... just kidding ... I was reading some other posts with funny ideas as such.

How did you know all these? Buy a title search? or just phone around?
